Veterans Day: Take a Moment to Say Thank You to Our Men and Women


As U.S. military personnel continue to fight and sustain casualties in Iraq and Afghanistan, it is only fitting that today on Veterans Day we honor the men and women past and present who fight for and protect our country.

I publicly want to thank our men and women who serve our country. My husband Alex is retired after 23 year of service. The last time that we went to a military base to shop, the guard at the gate said, "thank you for serving, sir" when he saw his ID that said retired. This is the first time that we have heard that in some time!
